I have been inspired by nathaniel_hp's posts of FOs. (Finished Objects, for the non-knitter.)

I haven't dyed yarn in a LONG time, but I know that I have some blank, undyed stuff at home and probaby some dyes too... I want to make myself a variegated Slytherin colourway that will stripe up when I knit it.

And then I would make elbow-high fingerless gloves with it. Drool.

I think I need to get on this. As soon as the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo is over.

Another morning where I have to reload several times to see any pages/journals on LJ... where it fights me on making any comments... where my inbox doesn't want to load... quelle surprise.

I've decided I need to come up with a BRILLIANT activity for the Fiery Ice landcomm, which all of my friends who like ASOIAF should join. I think I have an idea, too, so I'll give it a day or maybe two and then post it. Participation there is pretty good so far, and I finally got Lannisters!

Seriously? Just as I finally get my first break of the morning (I work the front reception desk, so I can only take my breaks, bathroom included, at the specific times when reception is closed) I get an email telling me all the water in the building is off for the next hour.

I HAVE TO PEE.

I'm literally going to have to go down the street to a fast food place and buy something just so I can go to the bathroom, otherwise I have to wait until noon.

As if today didn't suck enough.

Okay! Even though I KNOW I own two expensive gaming headsets, and I KNOW I packed them in some weird random place when we moved last year, I CAN NOT FIND THEM. I have torn the house apart.

So today I stopped off at The Source and picked up a cheap one-ear headset mic thinger so that I at least have SOME talk capabilities...

And then realized that I don't have anyone added on my Skype.

Sooooo... I'm mspixieriot (are you shocked?) if you are looking for me. :P

None of the layout codes I've tried to work to customize my DW journal have worked. I'm getting really discouraged. Most of the communities that have them haven't been updated in a REALLY long time. I guess it's time for me to play around with an LJ code, but I was really hoping not to need that much effort.

Anyone have any tips for me on finding/making cool dreamwidth layouts? The codes I usually use for LJ don't seem to apply here, exactly.

I guess I need to get around to uploading some userpics too! And adding some friends, because I know I have LJ friends lurking here too.
